Senior Director, Business Development (Publishers)

About the Role:

NCS is looking for a high energy and compelling leader to serve as a Senior Director on our sales and business development team. This person will be the lead contact on key digital publisher platforms focused on solutions for their CPG clients. This is a highly visible role that will allow you to drive demand and revenue by working closely with the Client Consulting and Senior Leadership teams to craft unique solutions to help our clients. This position requires strong sales and marketing competencies combined with the ability to form strategic partnerships that help NCS and our respective digital publisher clients grow their business. It also requires a growth mindset with a focus on building more strategic relationships with our publishers so that we continue to have a high level of engagement and partnerships that collaborate and build together.

Responsibilities:
  • Build out a strategy for client engagement at the highest levels across our clients with a focus on revenue growth and thought leadership.
  • Work closely with both Client Consulting and Senior Leadership to understand client needs and tailor research findings and insights to those needs.
  • Drive revenue across both current and prospective digital publisher accounts and exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with clients to best leverage NCS’ current product set to build solutions which help them gain more advertising revenue.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to marketing and media decision makers that help drive our insights based strategies. 
  • Collaborate successfully with all internal and business partner stakeholders to deliver sales goals and client engagements per expectations.
  • Develop and implement sales prospecting plans and materials.
  • Enable effective communications with the most senior executives accountable for sales, measurement science and product development.
  • Travel as required (including local travel) up to 20%.
Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience building strategic relationships that drive top-line revenue and solutions at a senior level to advertisers and media clients.
  • Experience in influencing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Position Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree.  Master’s degree or MBA a plus.
  • Background in solution selling at a strategic level.
  • Confidence in conducting consultative presentations to senior digital publisher platform marketing and media executives.
  • Passion for helping clients capture opportunities presented by consumer insights.
  • Knowledge of advertising research, particularly Digital and TV.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and/or Google for work.
  • Demonstrated business/analytic writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $150,000 – $200,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee’s geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at NCS is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
