Karthik brings more than 15 years of research and analytics experience, as well as technology and business-development skills, to his role as Chief Operating Officer of Nielsen Catalina Solutions. A sought-after speaker, scientist and founding member of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association Metrics Council, Karthik’s background is rich in developing new technologies for better understanding consumer behavior.
Prior to helping launch Nielsen Catalina Solutions in 2009, Karthik served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at The Nielsen Co., where he was responsible for creating new markets for BuzzMetrics, Nielsen Online and Nielsen Consumer Panel Services. In 2000, he founded the Buzz Monitoring business BrandPulse, an online measurement service of Intelliseek Inc., which was acquired by BuzzMetrics in 2006. Karthik launched his professional career as a Senior Scientist at the Procter & Gamble Co., where he led the deployment of new viral marketing technologies.
